Family History G
The Gleason Manuscript by Daniel A. Gleason, Elon Gleason, and William Gleason,
edited by Adrian Brisee.  Original source for the material in John Barber White's Desc. of
Thomas Gleason book. Source for the data has been added to the main part of the
manuscript,Daniel's portion, and corrections made where errors have been found.
Designed to be a companion to White's book, as the manuscript includes many sources
overlooked by White, and also corrects dozens of errors that White has in his book, such
as proving that Thomas &Susanna (Page) Gleason didn't have a son named Nathaniel.
Additional source documents not found in White's book include 16th & 17th century
wills, court documents, and deeds and land transactions. Elon's portion was also used in
White's book, be he is uncredited. BothElon and William expand on Isaac's branch of the
family. Elon uses middle names in a lot of his entries, and White errs by sometimes
separating these into two separate people. This manuscript has never been published
before. In fact, this book has been hidden for almost a century. If you are a serious
Gleason (English line) researcher, this is a must have book. The book is soft cover,
spline bound 170 pages, with full name index, bibliography, and introduction. Facts
have been verified where sources have been available, and noted after each event.
