De Mott, Metucken, NJ There are three burying grounds along the Easton Turnpike between New Brunswick and Bound Brook, on the south side of the Raritan, and an abstract of the inscriptions they contain are as follows: On the Smalley farm, directly opposite the intersection of the road leading to Middlebush village. This ground in on the north side of the Easton turnpike. It is covered with trees and undergrowth and has had no care for many years. Auten, Ann (wife of Capt. John, and dau. of Dennis Smock), d. Dec. 9, 1831, aged 73 yrs., 3 mos., 16 dys. Rappleyea, Susanna (wife of Col. Jerome), d. June 21, 1828, aged 69 yrs., 2 mos., 27 dys. Rappleyea, Cornelia (da. of Jerome and Susanna(, b. Feb. 29, 1796; d. Oct. 8, 1816. Smock, Dennis, d. Sept. 18, 1823, in 83rd yr. Smock, Elizabeth (dau. of Dennis and Deborah), d. May 28, 1800, in 37th yr. Van Horne, Hannah W.
