


| Holy Bible in English; Berwick, John Taylor, 1793. Contains records of Nicholas Van Vranken, Pastor of the Dutch Church at Fishkill, N. Y., and his two wives, Ruth Comstock and Catherine Conklin, with their children. The Bible has descended to his great-granddaughter, Miss Margaret P. Hillhouse, of Yonkers, New York, who is the present owner. Nicholas Van Vraken was born May 24th 1762, Ruthy Comstock was born Decemb'r 31st 1763, Married Feb'y 11th 1787. Samuael Amasa their first Son was born April 25th 1788 on Friday, and departed this Life 29th July 1788 Aged 3 Months and 4 Days. James Romeyn, their second Son was born 21st May 1789 on Thursday. Harriot, their first Daughter was born Oct'r 18th 1790, and departed this Live Nov'r 3rd 1790, Aged 16 Days Samuel Alexander, their third Son was born 20th Feb'y 1792 on Monday. Harriot, their second Daughter was born 6th Sept'r 1793 on Friday. Margaret Matilda, their third Daughter was born Nov'r 23d 1795 on Monday. William Augustus their fourth son was born July 20th 1799. Ruthy, Wife of Nicholas Van Vranken departed this life, in full afsurance of a happy Immortality on Saturday, being the 16th day of August, Anno 1800. Nicholas Van Vranken and Catherine Conklin were married April 4th, 1802. Ruthy, Their first Daughter was born April 18th 1803 and departed this life the 22nd of the same Month. Nicholas their first son was born April 22th 1804. Nicholas Van Vranken departed this life in full afsurance of a happy immortality on Sunday 20th of May, Anno 1804 Nicholas their first son departed this life August 9th Anno Domini 1805. James Romeyn, their second son departed this Life 1st June 1806. aged 17 years and 10 days. Margaret Matilda their third daughter (wife of Phinehas Prouty) departed this life September 12th 1830 on Sunday. Samuel Alexander their third son died Jan' 1st 1861 on Tuesday. He was senior Proffessor in the college at New Brunswick, In Rutgers College. Harriet died at Hackensack May 3rd 1875. William Augustus died at Geneva 1872.
