| Holy Bible in Dutch; Dordrecht, Jacob en Pieter Keur, 1714. Contains the records of Anthony Van Schayck, Jr., and his two wives, Susanna Wendel and Anna Cuyler, with his descendants by his second wife. The records are in Dutch and English, and the Dutch records have been translated by Prof. Edward Delavan Perry, of Columbia University. The Bible has descended to Mrs. Caroline M. Dec. 16. I was married to Susanna, daughter of Johan Wendel, my father-in-law deceased; married by Dom. Johannes Lydins. 1708/9. Jan. 20. My wife fell asleep in the Lord, in childbirth, at eight o'clock in the evening, aged 29 years and 35 days. 1685. Nov. 26, was born Anna, daughter of Johannes Cuyler, according to his record, 1712, May 29, I was married to Anna Cuyler, above mentioned, by Dom. Petrus Van Driesen. 1713, Dec. 2, was born our son Anthony; godfather, my father; carried to baptism by Mother Maria van Schayck. 1715, July 29, was born our daughter Else, Friday about eight o'clock in the morning. Godfather, my father-in-law; carried to baptism by Mother Cuyler; baptized by Petris van Drissen. 1716, March 25, our daughter Else fell asleep in the Lord, after dreadful suffering, of small-pox, at five o'clock. Carried by Jacob Ver Planck. 1716, Dec. 4, our first born son Anthony fell asleep in the Lord, about 6 o'clock, of bronchitis.
