Stephen Van Rensselaer Family Bible
Holy Bible in English; New York, Hodge and Campbell, 1792.

Contains the records of Stephen Van Rensselaer and Catherine Livingston, his
wife, with some of their descendants.  It is now the property of Mrs. Grace
Schuyler de Luze, of New Rochelle, a great-great-granddaughter of the
original owner.

1764 January 23d. Stephen Van Rensselaer was married to Catherine
Livingston, daughter of Philip Livingston Esq. of New York.

1765 November 1st. Was born our first son at New York and Baptized by the
Revd. Arch. Lardla [?] Stephen.  My Father in law & Mother in law Philip &
Christina Livingston Godfather & Godmother.

1766 April 15th Was born my second son at Water Vliet & Baptized by the
Revd. Elardus Westerlo, Philip, my borther in law Abm. Ten Brouk & wife,
Godfather & Godmother.

1768 Aug. 15th Was born my Daughter at Water Vliet & Baptized by the Revd.
Barent Vrooman, Elizabeth, my brother & sister in law Abm. Ten Brouk & wife,
Godfather & Godmother.

1769 Oct. 19th It pleased the lord to take unto himself Stephen Van
Rensselaer, He departed this Life at his house, in Water-Vliet & his Body was
buried in the family Vault.

1775 July 19th Elardus Westerlo was married to Catherine Van Rensselaer
widow of Stephen Van Rensselaer.

1776 May 6th Was born a son, & baptized by his Father, (name) Rensselaer,
our Eldest son Stephen & daughter Elizabeth Godfather & Godmother.

1778 Aug. 23d. Was born a Daughter & Baptized by her Father, Catherine,
John W. Ten Eyck & his wife Sarah Godfather & Godmother.

1783 March 13th Was born a Daughter & Baptized by her father, Johanna,
John W. Livingston & Margaret Jones my brother & sister in Law, Godfather &
godmother.

1783 June 6th Stephen Van Rensselaer was married to Margaret Schuyler,
daughter of General Philip Schuyler.

1784 July 6th Was born their first child & Baptized Catherine Schuyler, his
Father & mother in law, Godfather & Godmother.

1786 June 6th Was born their son Stephen, departed this Life

1789 March 29th Was born their second son Stephen Philip S. Van Rensselaer
& Catherine Westerlo, Godfather & Godmother.

1787 April 15th Philip S. Van Rensselaer was married to Ann Depeyster Van
Cortlandt Daughter of the Honble. Pierre V. Cortlandt.

1787 Sept. 18th John B. Schulyer & Elizabeth Van Rensselaer were married.

1788 Oct. 26th Was born a son & Baptized Philip Schuyler.

1790 May 4th Was born a son & Baptized Stephen Van Rensselaer Schuyler
died May 25, 1790

1795 Aug. 7th John B. Schuyler arrived at his House in Saratoga from the
Westward, taken sick on Wednesday the 12th of a Billious Fever, died the 7th
of August 1975.  Buried in the Vault of Stephen V. Rensselaer Esq. at
Water-Vliet 20th August 1795

1800 Nov. 17th John Bleeker & Elizabeth Schuyler (widow of John B. Schuyler)
were married by the Revd. John b. Johnson

1803 Jan 5th Was born a son, Baptized by the Revd. John Basset, Stephen
Van Rennselaer, Stephen Van Renssealaer Esq. & Catherine Westerlo
Godfather & Mother

1804 Oct. 16th Was born our second son, Baptized by Revd. John Basset,
John Rutse Bleeker, James Bleeker & Elizabet Bleeker, Godfather & Mother

1809 Oct. 1st Was born our daughter, Baptized by the Revd. John M. Bradford
Catherine Westerlo, Rensselaer Westerlo & Catherine Westerlo Godfather &
Mother

1826 April 16th Stephen V. R. Bleeker died aged 26

1832 July 19th John R. Bleeker Junr. died Aged 27

1833 Dec. 29th John Bleeker died, aged 70

1842 March 23d. Elizabeth Van Rensselaer, widow of John B. Schuyler & wife
of John Bleeker died, aged 74 years, & buried [paper worn off] Vault at Water
Vleet, leaving her son Philip Schuyler & daughter Catherine.
