The Bible is now the property of the Colonial Dames of the State of new York, and is deposited in the Van Cortlandt House, New York City. Domestic Chronology - Lawrence Smyth, (Born [?]) married Margaret Johnson (Born 1694. Died 1762. Daughter of Andrew Johnston and Catherine Van Courtlandt - Andrew Johnson was one of the children of Dr John Johnston, the first emigrant who arrived in N.Y. from Scotland Dec'br 1685 -- and died in Perth Amboy, Sept. 1732.) both died in Perth Amboy leaving an only Son John Smyth. John Smyth Born 1724. Clerk to the board of East Jersey.- proprietor and treasurer of the province when the Revolution commenced. -died in London 12 January 1786. in the 64th year of his age. buried in Mary le Bone Churchyard near London. married Susannah Moore Born May 24th 1725. the 10th daughter of Col. John Moore, and Frances Lambert. Died 1803. aged 78 years - was interred in the family Vault in Trinity church yard. their only child Andrew Smyth Born June 21st 1765. Died August 3d 1827 aged 62 years, one month, and eleven days.- Burried at St. Michaels Church yard. Bloomingdale - reinterred in Greenwood Cemetery 1867- married, 1st Maria Parker Born at Perth Amboy. Married to Andrew Smith December 29th 1793, by the Rev. Richard Channing Moore - she departed this life October 14th 1798. no issue 2d Maria Livingston Born September 22d 1777. Daughter of Philip John Livingston & Frances Bayard. married to Andrew Smyth Sept. 30th 1801 by the Rev Isaac Wilkins. died August 13th 1856, aged 73 years, 3 months, & 22 days. burried in Greenwood Cemetery. 1st child John Livingston Born September 20th 1802. baptized by Rev. C. Jones. died July 30th 1803. Aged 10 months. 2nd, Frances Susan Born December 21st 1804. Married Aug. 1838 to Charles I. Aldis. baptized by Rev. A. Beach. 3d, John William Born July 28th 1807 Baptized by Rev. I. Wilkins. 4th, Maria Ann born Sept 16th 1811 Baptized by Rev. I. Wilkins. Died May 12th 1813 aged 20 months. John William Smith The only surviving son of Andrew Smyth and Maria Livingston Born July 28th 1807. Son of Andrew Smyth and Maria Livingston married Sept 9th 1835, died December 10th 1866, aged 59 years, 4 months and 13 days. burried in Greenwood Cemetery Married Mary Anne Coggill Born April 29th 1808. in Leeds, England. daughter of George Coggill & Anne Atkinson - Married to John W. Smyth Sept. 9th 1835 by the Rev. I. M. Forbes in St. Luke's Ch. N.Y. Georgina Maria Smyth Born September 23d 1840. -daughter of J. W. and M. A. Smyth, baptized by Rev. Charles Aldis at St. Peters church Nov. 15. 1840. Chelsea N. York - Sponsors - George Coggill, Frances S. Aldis and her Mother. Married to John Williams Payne, Oct. 7th 1879. Henry Coggill Smyth Born November 1st 1843 - only Son of J. W. and M. A. Smyth. baptized by Rev. Hugh Smith, at St. Peters church Chelsea-N.Y.-on Christmas Day, 1843 Sponsors, Henry Coggill Ann Eudora Coggill, and Charles I. Coggill died at Schenectady N. Y.
