Charles Sheldon Family Bible
| Holy Bible in English; Worcester, Mass., Isaiah Thomas, 1791. Contains the records of Charles Sheldon and Elizabeth Bellamy, his wife, with their descendants. It is now in the possession of their great-grandson, Charles L. Sheldon, Esq., of New York City, but is in storage so we have not been able to verify the entries. Charles Sheldon son of Capt. Daniel Sheldon of Hartford was married to Miss Elizabeth Bellamy daughter of the Rev. Joseph Bellamy D.D. of Bethlehem in Woodbury on the 23rd day of February, in the year 1783. The time of the Births of their children & their names are as follows, viz. Eliabeth Sheldon born Feb. 20th 1785 Charles Sheldon Jr. Born March 23rd 1787 Frances Sherman Sheldon born Sep. 19th 1789. " " " Died May 4th 1848. (Was married (the 2nd time) to Miss Elizabeth Parsons daughter of Mr. Linas Parsons of Springfield on the 25th day of Oct; 1795.) October 31 - 1792 Died Mrs. Elizabeth Sheldon at West Suffield by the small Pox which she took by noculation the 16th Inst. in the 33rd year of her Age. May 4th 1848 died Frances Sherman Sheldon wife of Dr. Josiah Noyes of Clinton New York. April 13th 1855 died Charles Sheldon Jr. Alicia Lawrence wife of Charles Sheldon Jr. died Nov. 27th 1866. Charles Henry Sheldon born Sep. 11th, 1820 William Lawrence Sheldon born March 13th 1823. Edward Sheldon born Sep 19th 1825 Catharine Sheldon born March 31st 1827 George Sheldon born May 17th 1829 Henry Lawrence Sheldon born July 19th 1831. George Sheldon died May 21st 1830 Catharine Sheldon died Feb. 3rd 1840. William Lawrence Sheldon died March 13th 1843 Charles Henry Sheldon died Nov. 24th 1873 Edward Sheldon died March 26th 1886 Alice Sheldon died Aug. 3rd 1900.
