Hilliard
The friends of Mrs. Blythe Shaffer Hilliard, wife of Thomas Hilliard, were
shocked Sunday to hear of her sudden death at the home of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Schaffer, in Ohio township.  She was with her family during
their siege of measles and when she felt she was coming down with the same
illness went back to their home but up to last Saturday it was thought she
was getting along nicely.  A gethering had formed in her head which broke
Saturday night. Reverse conditions developed at once and at 12 o'clock the
said life was a matter of hours.  She died at 4 a.m. Sunday, March 1, 1914.
Mrs. Hilliard was only 17 years, 7 months and 9 days of age at the time of her
death.  She was married to Thomas Hilliard Dec. 15, 1913 and their short
married life had been full of happiness.  To the young husband, her parents
and members of her family goes out the sympathy of the community.
The funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, at Silver Creek church and
the remains will be layed to rest in the Silver Creek cemetery.
