| Holy Bible in English; American Bible Society, New York, 1854 [New Testament page, title page torn out] The Bible is now in the possession of the C. G. Brisee Genealogy Library, Irwin, Iowa. The Family Bible of Jesse & Elizabeth Patrick. The Bible was purchased from Salem County, New Jersey. There is only one entry of an infant death [Edgar], the other register pages having been removed. This is possibly Jesse Patrick and his wife Elizabeth Nailor who lived in Cumberland County, New Jersey. They also had a son named Jesse who was born in 1850, near the year young Edgar was born. I will leave it to others to make the definite connection. Deaths Edgar Patrick Son of Jesse and Elizabeth Patrick departed this life August 26th in the year of one thousand eight-hundred and fourty eight = 1848 Aged one month. |
