Olds Feb 21st 1906 Helen Leake Every olds Dec. 6. 1921 Elizabeth Johnston Olds, Nov. 26 1918 Insertions [undated obit] Hiram C. Olds was born at Shandaken in 1840 and died at Mt. Pleasant, Feb. 21, 1906. His father, Cornelius Olds, was killed by an accident when Hiram was aout three years old. In 1864, Mr. Olds was married to Catherine Kelley. To them was born two children who died in childhood. Mrs. Olds died in 1899. In April, 1901, he was married to Mrs. Cornelia Lane, who died in August of the same year. Nov. 26, 1903, Mr. Olds was married to Mrs. Helen Leake Every, of Shokan, who with his mother in her 89th year survives him. For 14 years Mr. Olds managed the Col. Snyder farms in Woodland. Eleven years ago he purchased the Abram Longyear farm at Mt. Pleasant, where he since resided. The funeral services were held at his late residence on Saturday, Feb. 24th, and were conducted by his former pastor, Rev. P. N. Chase, of Sugar Loaf, assisted by Rev. J. A. Hurn, of Phoenicia. Interment at Shokan. The Bible is still in the possession of the family |
