Ingell, Jr. December 17, 1979 Insertions [Wedding announcement] Ingell-Roelofs A pretty house wedding took place last evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Roelofs, No. 241 Terrace avenue, when their daughter, Miss Flora Roelofs, was married to William C. Ingell. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Matthew Kolyn, pastor of the Second Reformed church. Palms, ferns, vines and flowers were used int he decoration through the rooms. The bridal parlor and library were in white and green, Marguerites being combined effectively with the foliage. Just before 8 o'clock, the hour for the ceremony, Mrs. Joseph Michaelson sang "I Love You Truly" by Carrie Jacobs Bond, and as the bridal party entered and took their places before an improvised altar of palms and ferns "The Bridal Chorus" from "Lohengrin" was played by Miss Henrietta Roelofs, violinist, and Miss Bessie Boies of Chicago, pianist, who also played Mendelsohn's wedding march. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white batiste with Cluny and Irish lace trimmings, a wreath of swansonia was in her hair and she carried a shower bouquet of the same flowers. Miss Irene Roelofs, sister of the bride, who acted as maid of honor, wore a dainty gown of flowered organdie over pink and carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas. J. Herbert Armstrong assisted as best man. In the reception, which followed the ceremony, were Mr. and Mrs. Roelofs, parents of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. William W. Ingell, parents of the groom. Mrs. Roelofs wore a handsome gown of pale mauve with silk poplin trimmed with lace, and Mrs. Ingell wore a black taffeta gown with velvet and lace trimmings. Refreshments were served in the dinning room, which was dainty in a pink decoration. A large basket of sweet peas tied with pink tulle formed the centerpiece and a pretty arrangement of the tulle and sweet peas formed a border around the table. Henry Wilder and Miss Winifred Watkins officiated as master and mistress of ceremonies. The out-of-town guests, besides those already mentioned, were Mrs. Harry Bosch of Chicago and Harry Ingell of Washington, D.C. Mr. and Mrs. Ingell will be at home at No. 20 Milton avenue after June 15.
