The Rev. Henry Medd, pastor of the North Methodist church, officiated. There was a wealth of floral tributes testifying to the esteem in which the deceased was held by his office and shopmates. They included a placque of roses from the Corbin Cabinet Lock company, placque of carnations from C. H. Strong and employees; square and compass from St. John's lodge, F. A. M.; placque of Lilies from Griffen A. Stedman camp, S. of V., Mr. Reed being a member of the two organizations. The bearers were Frank C. Newton, John E. Lowe, and Milton D. Freeman, intamate friends, Richard Cobert of the Corbin Cabinet Lock company, Worshipful Master William H. Nugent and Joseph L. Cook of St. John's lodge, F. & A. M.
