Glen Family Bible
Holy Bible in Dutch; Dordrecht, Hendrick en Jacob Keur, 1686.

This Bible was originally owned by Col. Jacob Glen, the grandson of Alexander
Lenders Glen, who founded Schenectady.  It contains the records, written by
Col. Glen, of his ancestors as far back as 1648, including an account of the
sack of Schenectady by the French and Indians in 1690 and the sparing of the
Glen house by order of the Governor.  It contains records from that date to
present and is now the property of a direct descendant, Mrs. W. W. Galbraith,
of Washington, D. C. Part of the records are in Dutch and have been
translated by Dr. L. Bendikson.
